For the "crime" of delivering a speech to truckers at the Coutts border blockade that occurred in February of 2022, Canadian pastor Artur Pawlowski was found guilty by a judge, who deemed that Pawlowski violated the Alberta Critical Infrastructure Defence Act in delivering his message.
The first person to ever be convicted under this particular piece of provincial legislation, Pawlowski is officially a victim of religious persecution by the Canadian state, which is punishing him for delivering a sermon in public to truckers and their supporters at the Canadian-U.S. border crossing in Coutts.
Originally drafted in the aftermath of the railway and pipeline protests that occurred in the early months of 2020, the Critical Infrastructure Defence Act is officially being used as an excuse in Canada to silence religious free speech under the guise of protecting critical infrastructure, in this case a border crossing, from being impeded by protests or other forms of resistance.
Government officials accused Pawlowski of violating the act by criticizing Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's Wuhan coronavirus (Covid-19) "measures," which included lockdowns, mask and "vaccine" mandates, and other forms of tyranny. The judge in this case agreed, delivering a guilty verdict to Pawlowski almost on command.
(Related: As a little background, Pawlowski was thrown in solitary confinement for refusing to shut down his church in obedience to Trudeau's covid "safety" protocols.)
Did Artur Pawlowski really incite an economic disturbance with his sermon?
As the verdict was being delivered in Lethbridge, independent reporter Ezra Levant was present to capture it live outside the building. Levant explained further the reasons why the judge in this case ultimately convicted Pawlowski of wrongdoing, which include the following statement that Levant tweeted:
"Looking at the context of the speech and the content and the tone, I am satisfied beyond a reasonable doubt that Artur intended to incite the audience to blockade," the judge determined.
The judge went on to call the solidarity movement for which Pawlowski was present to support with his message a "paralyzing" factor to Canadian society. This declaration was music to the ears of prosecutors who were hopeful for this kind of ruling against Pawlowski's free speech rights.
The judge also quoted Pawlowski's own words in his ruling, which were apparently stated to the blockade crowd in an effort to keep them at the border cross in Coutts rather than move somewhere else, such as to Edmonton.
Pawlowski apparently told the crowd not to "break the line," which the judge determined to be incitement to keep blocking the border crossing, thus preventing international economic activity between Canada and the United States.
You can watch the roughly 19-minute speech from Pawlowski, which was the subject of this court case, below:
Despite the ruling, Pawlowski has achieved numerous other legal victories, including a case in which he was charged for feeding the homeless in violation of Trudeau's egregious covid restrictions.
"I guess you throw enough charges against a guy, one of them will eventually stick," Levant further tweeted about what Pawlowski has been through. "As Lavrenti Beria, the head of Soviet secret police said, 'Show me the man and I'll find you the crime.'"
By all appearances, the Canadian state was doing just that in its quest to take down Pawlowski. Since he is a Christian who refuses to obey the illicit mandates of a rogue police state, Pawlowski is considered to be a danger to society.
"No doubt this was a politically appointed judge," one commenter wrote about the most recent case against Pawlowski. "Strike the shepherd and the sheep will scatter!"
